Decent tool, some minor glitches

I recently used the Mobile App Builder to create a simple app for my small business. The no-code interface was straightforward, and I appreciated the 14 Tage Testversion which let me get a feel for it before committing. Building the basic structure was easy enough, and I liked the drag-and-drop functionality. However, I did run into a few small bugs when trying to integrate the Push Benachrichtigungen module – it took a couple of tries to get the settings to save correctly. The overall value for money seems fair, especially if you get the Jahresabo Rabatt, but the support response time could be a little quicker for these minor issues.

Decent value, few quirks

I signed up for the 14-day trial to build an 'Event App' for a local festival. The 'Mobile App Builder' had a lot of useful modules like the 'News Feed Modul' and a 'Chat Modul' that were easy to integrate. The 'App Einreichungsservice' was a big plus, as dealing with app stores can be a headache. However, I found the pricing tiers a little confusing at first glance, and it took a bit to figure out exactly what was included in each. Also, the interface felt a bit cluttered when I first started, but I got used to it. Good for the price, though.

Consistent service as always

This isn't my first time using AppYourself; I've built a couple of apps for different small projects over the past year. This time around, I was setting up a 'Speisekarte App' for a friend's cafe. The 'App Baukasten' is still reliable and easy to navigate, just as I remembered. The 'Tischreservierung App' module was particularly useful for them. What I appreciate most is the consistency – what you see is generally what you get, and it functions. My only minor feedback is that some of the template designs could use a refresh, they haven't changed much since my last order.

Made an app, it was pretty good

So I tried out AppYourself to make a little app for my cafe, mostly for a Speisekarte App and some loyalty stuff. It was surprisingly easy, like way easier than I thought it would be. I just messed around with the App Baukasten and put things where I wanted them. The Digitale Stempelkarte module worked well for my customers, which was cool. The only thing is, it felt a little slow to load sometimes when I was editing, but once it was done, the app itself was fine on my phone.

Easy to use, mostly

I used AppYourself to build a simple PWA for my little craft business. It was pretty straightforward to get going with the 'App Baukasten'. The drag-and-drop stuff made it easy to visualize. I liked the 'Kundenbindungssystem' idea, like the digital stamp card, which felt modern. My only little niggle was finding some specific icons, they weren't as varied as I hoped, but overall it worked out nicely for what I needed.

Reliable platform for PWA

I've been using AppYourself for a few years now, primarily for Progressive Web Apps for various client projects. This latest order, setting up a new PWA with the Terminbuchung Modul, went as smoothly as previous times. Their platform is consistently reliable, and I rarely encounter major issues. What keeps me coming back is how easy it is to deploy updates and manage content, plus the built-in Dashboard gives a good overview. I find the Reseller Programm quite beneficial, too. The only minor quibble this time was that the initial sync for a new content feed took a bit longer than I remembered from past projects, but it eventually caught up.

Good app builder

Used the App Baukasten. Simple setup. PWA worked well. Support answered my question about Push Benachrichtigungen quickly. Solid service.

Super easy app building

Okay, so I just finished setting up my new Event App with AppYourself, and it was so much fun! I thought it would be super complicated, but the no-code builder is actually really intuitive. I loved how quickly I could add all my event details and even set up push notifications. My only small hang-up was getting the images to fit perfectly, took a few tries. But seriously, the end result is amazing! I can't wait for my attendees to use it. Definitely going to tell everyone I know about this and will be back for more projects!

Does anyone know if AppYourself helps with getting the app into the Apple and Google stores? Or is that all on me?

J Jacob S. 3 weeks ago
They totally handle the submission process for you, it's one of their services. Saves a huge headache.

They do, I think it's part of the package or at least an add-on. Definitely not something you have to figure out yourself thankfully.

I'm looking for an app builder that also does loyalty programs, does AppYourself have a good one? Like digital stamp cards?

E Elizabeth Smith 1 month ago
Yep, they have a digital stamp card module. I use it for my coffee shop and it works pretty well for customer retention.

L Linda Sanchez 1 month ago
They definitely have customer loyalty stuff. I've seen the digital stamp cards and also a coupon module, so you're covered there.

Wondering about the payment options. Can I use PayPal, or is it just credit cards?

E Emma 3 weeks ago
Pretty sure they take the usual credit cards. Not sure about PayPal, I used my Visa.

I think they accept major credit cards like Visa and Mastercard. For other options, you might wanna check their payment section on the site, I don't recall seeing PayPal explicitly but it's worth a look.

Hey, thinking about trying AppYourself for my small business. Is it really easy to build an app without coding? I'm not super techy.

J Jason Smith 2 weeks ago
Yeah, it's pretty drag-and-drop. I used it for my shop and it was surprisingly straightforward.

B Brian 2 weeks ago
For real, you don't need any programming skills. It's basically a no-code builder, so you just pick modules and set them up. Support helps if you get stuck too.

Do they actually help you get your app into the Apple App Store and Google Play, or do you have to figure that out yourself?

K Karen E. 4 weeks ago
They handle the submission part. Saves a huge headache.

A Amanda T. 3 weeks ago
Yup, they do an app submission service. I mean, you still gotta provide the info and stuff, but they take care of the technical submission to the stores, which is a lifesaver.

Is it worth getting the annual plan over monthly? Do you save a decent amount or is it not that big of a difference?

S Sean J. 1 month ago
You usually save like 10-20% if you go annual. It adds up over a year.

H Hannah Johnson 1 month ago
I switched from monthly to annual after my trial and definitely noticed the savings. It's not a crazy amount but enough to make it worthwhile if you're committed.

Thinking about getting this for my small business, but how easy is it to actually build an app without knowing any code? I'm totally new to this.

J John 1 month ago
Super easy. It's all drag and drop. You just pick modules and fill in your info. I had a basic one up in a few hours.
3
J James Thompson 1 month ago
Yeah, no coding needed at all. They have templates too, which helps a lot when you're just starting out. The hardest part is figuring out what content you want to put in.

What's the deal with payment options? Can I pay with PayPal or only credit card?

S Sean Smith 1 month ago
Pretty sure they accept major credit cards. Don't remember seeing PayPal though.

C Carol Young 1 month ago
I paid with my Visa, but I'm not certain about other methods. You'd probably find it during the checkout flow.
